October Ways & Means
We announced our first social event – America First Wine Social at our September General Meeting. The wine social will be a Wine Tasting Event taking place on Saturday, November 12th at 7:00 pm. The tasting will cover three wines, all will be suitable for your holiday meal planning.
There will be an assortment of appetizers paired with the wine as well as wine to drink after the tasting. The event will be held at the home of our President, Kaye Feller (and Steve).
Join us for a fun evening and get to know fellow club members. The cost is $15.00 per person or $ 25.00 per couple. We have reservations for 23 people already so be sure and call Monica Parker for your place at this event. She can be reached at 480-287-0704. The event is limited to 40 people so don't delay.
We have also announced the date for our largest fundraising event, the America First Christmas Celebration. Mark your calendar for the evening of Tuesday, December 6th. We will be serving a beautiful buffet, wine, beer, and a Holiday Mule signature cocktail for purchase. Special Guest Speakers will be in attendance. Tickets will be on sale soon!
Another event at the American First Christmas Celebration is a table decoration auction. We will do this by asking for members to decorate artificial trees, between 10-15" tall, to be table toppers. You can decorate them with a holiday theme, a patriotic theme, or any type of decoration. We will be auctioning these trees off as part of our evening. Let me know if you would like to participate. I can be reached at 562-412-0388 orThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
We are also producing a Program Book for this event and we are asking for Sponsors. This is another way for us to raise funds. If you or you know someone who would like to advertise in the book, you can contact Beverly Goldstein at 216-209-2444.
Remember the reasons behind this event: Compassion Care, QC-STV Scholarship program, and to keep operating our club.
Events for 2023: The Ways and Means Committee has also been working on several events to take place in 2023. Stay tuned for those accounts in next month's newsletter.
